about

In this track we enter the weary mind of the mad poet Abdul Alhazred, and witness the maddening visions which made him go in the desert seeking the respite of death. For who can live with knowledge of the High Priest of the Elder Ones, mighty Cthulhu, and his inevitable future rule of the black Earth?

lyrics

Ia! Cthulhu!
The Leviathan stirreth in His dreams...

I hear the Call,
For the stars have aligned once more
Upon the firmament
A voice, a murmur
From blasphemous depths below depths,
Echoing from beneath the remotest oceans,
It haunts my dreams...

The Cosmos shall tremble,
The Black Earth shatter
When Cthulhu rules his world!
As the submerged city
Of cyclopean stone
Arises from the waves
As in the Dawn of Days!

Rise, emerge from Thy tomb!
Rise, this world to consume!
Rise, oh, mighty Cthulhu!
Bring this world to its doom!

Swallow continents!
Wipe out humanity!

I hear the breath of the Old Ones
Whisper into my ears
Untold blasphemies
Of evil older than man
That came to the Earth aeons ago
Through the Outer Gate
Opened by Yog Sothoth
From which all Madness issues forth!

The Gate shall open once more,
Allowing passage between the worlds!
Humanity will be free!
In utter chaos rejoyce!

Ia! Cthulhu!
The Dreamer awakens from His sleep...

And the stars shine ready!!!

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability
of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid
island of ingnorance in the midst of black seas of infinty, and it
was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each strayning
in it's own direction, have hitherto harmed us little, but someday the
piecing together of dissociated knowlege will open such terrifying
vistas of reality, and of our frigthful position therein, that we shall
either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into
the peace and safety of a new Dark Age..."

(H.P. Lovecraft - "The Call of Cthulhu")
